Aaron Gillam's Mentalism Show
A new and novel audience participation show that will have your group laughing and spellbound! Think of it as a magic show for the thinking person. No rabbits, instead, intuition, mind reading and predictions.
What is a MENTALIST or MIND READER?
A mentalist is an entertainer that has honed his skills in observing nonverbal queues like facial expressions, muscle reactions, postures and actions in order to give the appearance of mind reading. He also uses psychology and covert language to influence peoples’ responses, thus giving the appearance of predicting things before they happen. When you combine these skills with a little bit of illusion and you get unforgettable entertainment with humorous audience participation. What is ESP? ESP stands for Extra Sensory Perception. Researchers that study ESP sometimes referred to it as parapsychology and break it into four basic categories. These categories are telepathy (the ability to send and receive thoughts), clairvoyance (the power to see things beyond the natural world), precognition (the ability to foresee future events), and psychokinesis (the power to move objects with the mind). Many claim to have these paranormal abilities, however NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE them under scientific test conditions. Aaron gives incredible demonstrations of all of the above which might make you wonder if they are real. |
Is Aaron psychic?
No. A mentalist uses the five known senses to give the illusion of a sixth sense. There is absolutely nothing psychic or supernatural involved. A mentalist is using observation and reasoning to draw conclusions that appear to be mind reading. What is NLP? NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. NLP emphasizes the belief in a connection between the neurological processes ("neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns. By studying patterns of language and understanding the patterns of the neurological process, a mentalist uses this information to help guide behavior patterns and thinking. |
What is a Micro Expression?
You may have heard this term used on the show "Lie to Me". It is a term used by nonverbal expert Dr. Paul Ekman to describe a brief, involuntary facial expression shown on the face of humans according to emotions experienced. Unlike regular facial expressions, it is difficult to fake micro expressions.
What about some Illusions?
The show can be customized to include large scale illusions including making the CEO appear or passing a solid steel blade through an audience member!
